Purpose Turned Passion - My Faith Journey - Faithgranced

Purpose Turned Passion - My Faith Journey

On October 16, 2021, at 12:48 am, God revealed to me my purpose. At that time in my life, I was not on an entrepreneurial quest. This revelation was not the aftermath of browsing through the candle section of a home décor store. This impartation was sudden, yet clear as day. There was an eagerness and fire that I hadn’t felt about anything in my life. I knew this was divinely given. At 12:48 am, I took out my journal and wrote down everything God had given me in that moment. And so, the journey began, birthing Faithgranced Candles.

My journal entry from 10/16/21.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord. -Colossians 3:23

Over the next couple years, I dedicated myself to studying the art of candle-making and conducted countless rounds of testing and experimenting to provide the high-quality candles that we offer today. You often hear, find your passion, and you'll find your purpose. I’m a witness that God may reveal to you your purpose first, and as you cultivate that purpose and align yourself with the will of God, passion develops.

I've fallen in love with the art of creating handcrafted scented candles. It's the process of letting creativity flow in a manner that inspires others that has captured my heart.

God gave me this faith assignment to be an encouragement to others. Being the all-knowing God that He is, He also knew that in a few short years, faith would carry me through the most difficult time in my life. In September of 2023, I lost a good friend and father to my son. In October of 2023, I lost my favorite lady, my mother. These traumatic life events propelled me into living out and being committed to this God given purpose. As I craft candles for you, I’m constantly reminded of God’s faithfulness. This faith journey is intentional. It takes a conscious effort to turn to God and believe His promises, when we’re presented with loss, grief, doubt, and fear.

As you enjoy our candles, my prayer is that you too are reminded of His faithfulness. Where there’s faith, there’s hope. There’s hope to keep going. There’s hope to live. Know that despite what you see or feel, God is with you every step of the way and you will get to the other side.

I am confident of this; I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. - Psalm 27:13

With love,

~Tonya
